Word I (Introduction) (Must have mouse skills)
Wednesday, September 17 and Wednesday, September 24     9:30 AM

A basic introduction to word processing that will focus on typing a document and saving it.

Mouse Basics
Thursday, September 18     9:30 AM
This is an absolute beginner's program for those who have never used a mouse before. Participants will work at their own pace doing simple exercises designed to teach mouse skills.

Introduction to the Internet (Must have mouse skills)
Monday, September 22    9:30 AM
Learn the basics of using the web including typing addresses, clicking on links, and using basic navigation
commands like forward, back and home.

Beginning Excel (Must have mouse skills)
Thursday, September 25     9:30 AM

Basic, beginner class for those who have not had any experience with Excel, a spreadsheet program for organizing,
manipulating, and charting data.You will learn how to create a simple budget, change its appearance and enter formulas to easily update results.

Advanced Excel (Must have mouse skills)
Thursday, October, 2    9:30 AM

Advanced class that continues and builds on the basics of data management.

Word II (Intermediate) (Must have mouse skills and have taken Word I or have equivalent skills.)
Wednesday, October 8 and Wednesday, October 15     9:30 AM

This is an intermediate class for experienced Word users who would like to learn more about various features of Word.

Google Unleashed

Google is more than just a great search engine. It can also do language translations, mathematical calculations,
phone number lookups and more. This program will introduce you to some of the powerful
extras available in Google. Demo class only, no hands on practice.

Word III (Advanced Class.) (Must have taken Word I and II or have equivalent skills)

Learn how to spruce up your documents by changing fonts, colors and adding graphics from the Internet.

The Library's Online Catalog
Thursday, October 23   9:30 AM

Learn how to effectively search the library's online catalog for books, DVD's, CD's and more. Also learn how to place holds
and renew materials yourself.

The Library From Home
Thursday, October 30    9:30 AM
Learn about the many things you can do from home through the library's website. Some features are:
online databases, email reference, downloadable audiobooks and more.
Demo class only, no hands on practice.

Email Basics (Must have mouse skills)

Participants will be given an account with Yahoo Mail and will learn the basics of sending and receiving messages.

Basic Photo Editing (Must have mouse skills)
Wednesday, November 5     9:30 AM
Learn the basics of photo editing like rotating and cropping photographs. Please bring your camera to the program.

Windows Explorer (Must have mouse skills)
Thursday, November 6     9:30 AM

Windows Explorer is a way to look at what you have on your PC and to learn where a file goes after you save it. This is a very basic class
designed to help you manage files, create folders and organize your documents.

Learn all the basic information needed to buy items from this extremely popular auction site.

Word IV and Email Attachments (Must have taken Word I, II and III or be an experienced Word user.) (Must also have an email account.)
(Windows Explorer class highly recommended before taking this class.)
