Word I (Introduction) (Must have mouse skills)
Wednesday, October 7    9:30 AM

A basic introduction to word processing that will focus on typing a document, and saving it to a disk.

Mouse Basics
Thursday, October 8     9:30 AM
This is an absolute beginner's program for those who have never used a mouse before. Participants will work at their own pace doing simple exercises designed to teach mouse skills.

Introduction to the Internet (Must have mouse skills)
Monday, October 12    9:30 AM
Learn the basics of using the web including typing addresses, clicking on links, and using basic navigation
commands like forward, back and home.

Word II (Intermediate) (Must have mouse skills)
Wednesday, October 14    9:30 AM

This is an advanced class for experienced Word users who would like to learn more about various features of Word.

Powerpoint (Must have mouse skills.)
Thursday, October 15 or Thursday, October 22    9:30
Learn the basics of how to create professional
presentations and handouts.

Publisher (Must have mouse skills.)
Monday, October 19 or Monday, November 9     9:30   
Learn how to create newsletters, flyers,
brochures, banners and more.

Windows Explorer (Must have mouse skills)
Wednesday,October 21     9:30 AM

Windows Explorer is a way to look at what you have on your PC. Learn where a file goes after you save it. This is a very basic class
designed to help you manage files, create folders and organize your documents.

Email Basics (Must have mouse skills)

Learn the basics of sending and receiving messages.

Basic Photo Editing (Must have mouse skills)
Wednesday, October 28    9:30 AM
Learn the basics of photo editing like rotating and cropping photographs. Please bring your camera to the program.

Beginning Excel (Must have mouse skills)
Thursday, October 29 or Wednesday November 4    9:30 AM
Basic, beginner class for those who have not had any experience with Excel, a spreadsheet program for organizing,
manipulating, and charting data.You will learn how to create a simple budget, change its appearance and enter formulas to easily update results.

How to Buy a Computer
Thursday, November 5    9:30
(This is a demo class. No computer skills needed.)

Learn some of the basics you should consider when deciding what computer to buy.

Advanced Excel (Must have mouse skills)
Wednesday, November 11 or Wednesday, November 18     9:30 AM

Advanced class that continues and builds on the basics of data management.

Email Attachments
(Must be an experienced Word user and have an email account)
Thursday, November 12    9:30
Learn how to attach a Word document to an email message.

Google Unleashed
Friday, November 13     9:30 AM
Google is more than just a great search engine. It can also do language translations, mathematical calculations,
phone number lookups and more. This program will introduce you to some of the powerful
extras available in Google. Demo class only, no hands on practice.
