Do you have a passion for reading and for books? Then come to our Book Lovers' Circle on the first Thursday of every month at 7 PM. You will hear about the newest books available at the library, receive a reading list and have a chance to share your own favorites, both old and new. Sign up for Automatic Holds and we will track new titles by your favorite authors and place the holds for you. Twelve
bestselling authors to choose from. All you need to do is pick up the book when it’s available. Sign up forms are at all public desks. The service is free and available to any M.A.I.N. cardholder but these books must be picked up from the Morristown & Township Library. Let us do the work for you.
The Director’s Book Club meets the 2nd Thursday
of every month at 10:00 AM. Everyone is welcome at this informal book
discussion. Check our Events page for upcoming titles. You can see some

The library subscribes to Bookletters which provides access
to up to date information on books, authors and book awards. Through a
series of subject based newsletters you can stay well informed about any
book related topic of interest to you. Read the newsletters online or
subscribe to them and have them sent directly to your email account.
The library has its own newsletter that highlights some of our newest
fiction and non-fiction titles. To see or subscribe to the library's newsletter choose Newsletter Daily and then scroll down to Morristown/Morris Township Library.
NoveList Plus is an online reader’s advisory database that helps you choose genre based books that are similar to the ones you like: read - alikes. They also have book discussion guides, teaching resources and award information. A great place to browse for a title. You can access NoveList Plus from the library or from home.
Contemporary Authors provides biographical and bibliographic information on thousands of contemporary authors.
Literary Reference Center is a rich database of information about literature that includes criticism, synopses and biographical information. You can access Literary Reference Center from the library or from home.
This book lover’s website is a cataloging and social networking site for book lovers.
LibraryThing helps you create a library-quality catalog of books: books you own, books you've read, books you'd like to read, books you've lent out ... whatever grouping you'd like.
The library has several collections of books in foreign languages. They are located under the balcony in the Reference Room. The available languages are Spanish, Chinese, Russian, French, Italian and Polish. To see a list of our Russian titles please click here.
