Do you have a passion for reading and for books? Then come to our Book Lovers' Circle on the first Thursday of every month.

You will hear about the newest books available at the library, receive a reading list and have a chance to share your own favorites, both old and new.  A great way to expand your reading horizons, meet other readers and have fun! Refreshments will be served.

Tempest in a Teapot: An Introduction to the Buzz of Downton Abbey

Getting excited about the airing of post-WWI, season three in January? Can’t get enough of the rapier wit of the Dowager? Are you simply wondering what all of the hubbub is about the series Downton Abbey? (Or did you honestly think it was supposed to be Downtown Abbey?) Come and join the Morristown and Morris Township Library staff as we delve into this award-winning PBS series.

We will be providing an introduction for newcomers as well as a viewing of one of the last episodes of the previous series to get primed for season three.  Prizes, including a Downton Abbey 2013 calendar and a copy of the newly-published Chronicles of Downton Abbey: A New Era (St. Martin’s Press, Nov. 2012), will be given away in our trivia contest, so veterans and fans of the series are also encouraged to attend. Tea and scones will be served along with a lot of conversation about Lady Mary’s upcoming nuptials, Lady Edith’s quest for love, Charles Carson’s weakened heart and Thomas Barrow’s criminal tendencies!  Period costume encouraged, but not required.
