Solar Energy

Making the Change to Clean Solar Energy

Thursday February 28, 2013
7:00 PM
Interested in how solar energy could help you? Andy Greenberg from Trinity Solar will not only discuss the recent buzz about our Sun’s energy, but also how to develop your own home energy audits, how the changing environment is related and, most importantly, what you can do.

If Hurricanes Sandy, Irene and the oil crises over the past four decades have taught us anything, it is that we are living in a world and an environment that is changing. With fewer fossil fuels available to run automobiles and heat homes and with more frequent strong storms, planning for the future and embracing new technologies and energy sources is more important than ever. One energy source that is not so new and is now finally being tapped in earnest, is solar energy. Germany is now able to run their entire country on solar energy; Scandinavia is primed to be fossil fuel free in three years. Closer to home, Governor Christie and New Jersey environmental groups in September took steps to make solar energy more affordable by requiring utility companies to produce a certain amount of solar energy every year. At this program you will learn about what you can do.

Bio

Trinity Solar, based in New Jersey, is the leading designer and integrator of solar electric systems in the Northeast. They developed from Trinity Heating and Air, Inc. in 2004, bringing a decade of experience and well-earned accolades to the solar industry. Since then, Trinity has installed over 4,000 solar power systems, grown to nearly 400 employees, has become the largest solar provider in the Northeast, and is now one of the top ten solar providers in the nation.

This program is supported through funding from the Friends of the Morristown & Morris Township Library.
