Sixth Annual Book Arts Series: Workshop
The accordion is perhaps the most versatile structure in the world of bookbinding. As a full-page spread, or as a The Book Arts Series has grown to become a wonderful, annual event here in Morristown. There is a reasonable fee for the workshops thanks to generous, private support, but seating is limited so please register early to secure a seat. Refreshments will be provided for each session beginning 30 minutes prior to the start time listed above (please note the lecture this year is on a Thursday evening). For more information, please call 973-538-6161 or e-mail maria.norton@mainlib.org. Bio Barbara Mauriello is a book conservator and artist who has a bookbinding studio in Hoboken, NJ. She teaches at The Center for Book Arts, the International Center of Photography, the BAR in South Orange, and at other museums, schools and residencies. Barbara produces small editions of printed books in collaboration with artists and writers. In 2000, her book “Making Memory Boxes” was published. Please visit Barbara Mauriello's website here.
