The Rhythm of the Fall Migration of Birds

Think that it is about time to go South for the winter? So do many bird species! Join us as noted birder Jonathan Klizas will examine the different patterns of bird migration during the fall season.

The different raptor, songbird and shorebird species move to their own migration schedules, peaking at different times. He will cover topics such as the plumage differences certain bird species have between spring and fall, timing and optimum conditions for migration and fall migration hotspots (human snow birds are also welcome to attend before they also fly South!)

Jonathan Klizas is a birder for over 35 years. He is an associate naturalist for the New Jersey Audubon Society, a member of the New Jersey Bird Records Committee and the founder and editor of mocosocoBirds.com, a popular website for birding in Morris and Somerset Counties. He is also a music teacher at Hillsborough High School.
