Grief Program

Navigating the Holidays While Grieving

Wednesday November 29, 2017
7:00 PM
Presented by Jesse Bassett from the Morristown not-for-profit Good Grief. When grieving the death of someone important in your life, the holidays can be a particularly difficult time from an emotional and practical perspective.

Watching others who are celebrating while we feel sad, lonely, and overwhelmed can be painful and isolating. In this presentation we will explore concrete ways you can successfully anticipate and navigate these challenges surrounding the holidays, while also engaging in meaningful ways to remember your person who died.

Bio

As the Director of Education & Learning for Good Grief, Jesse Bassett works with schools, nonprofits, hospitals, hospice organizations, funeral homes, and other organizations to increase community awareness and competency in providing support to grieving children and their families.

Jesse joined Good Grief after completing a graduate internship, working first as a Program Director.
