A six week class for patrons 55 and older with a vision change. Have you heard about the iPad but are not sure what it is? Do you have an iPad but are not sure how to use it? In this beginner class you will receive an introduction to the iPad. In addition, you will be introduced to accessibility features on the iPad, such as Zoom and Voice Over (Apple’s built-in screen reader), to access the iPad. (Each class is 1.5 hours.) Foreign Cinema Series: The Second Mother (Brazil, 2015; R)
The library is pleased to announce the fall half of our 2017 “Foreign Film Series,” an expansion of our popular bi-annual Latino Film Series, launched in the fall of 2015. The series features eight entertaining and thought-provoking foreign films from Europe, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East. Tonight's feature: The Second Mother, a highly acclaimed comedy-drama from Brazil and the winner of 28 awards, including the Sundance Film Festival Special Jury Prize.All movies are subtitled in English. Light refreshments will be served.
