Family Craft Story Time

Parents and children ages 3-8 are welcome to join us every Saturday morning from January 7th through February 4th to hear some stories and make a simple craft. No registration is required.

Come join us as we discuss Operation Redwood by S. Terrell French. Clandestine e-mail exchanges, secret trips, fake press releases, and a tree-house standoff are among the clever stunts and pranks the kid heroes pull in this exciting ecological adventure. Copies of the book are available in the children's room for you to borrow and read before coming to this event.

Russian Film

Join us as we view The Cranes are Flying (1958 Palme d'Or Cannes Film Festival Winner) This story of young lovers torn apart by the eruption of World War II is bolstered by stunning cinematography and passionate performances never seen in Soviet cinema. Doors will open at 5:30 PM and the film begins at 6:15 PM. Films are free and no registration is required. Light refreshments and beverages will be served. In Russian with English subtitles.

Computer Savvy Seniors

This beginners program is for seniors with little or no experience using computers. The seven week series will begin with learning mouse skills and will include instruction in windows management, Word, the keyboard, the internet, and email. The final session will be an open lab to review all the previous classes. This program is designed with beginners in mind and will include lots of review.
