Story times will begin October 7th and run through November 20th. 2 year old story time will meet on Tuesday mornings at 10:00. 3-5 year old story time will meet either Wednesday morning at 10:00 or Thursday afternoon at 2:00. Raconteur Radio Presents: The War of the Worlds: a Staged Radio Play
A Special ‘After Hours’ Event Featuring Michael Jarmus, Carlyle Owens, Laurence Mintz, and Alex Dawson. Do you ever wish you would have been beside the players of the Mercury Theatre when they first performed War of the Worlds live on air and spread panic to the listening audience? Although there is debate as to the level of panic the radio drama caused, the performance raised outrage in the general public in the 1930s and also raised the profile of the Theatre’s director, Orson Welles. And it is still engaging audiences to this day. But now, library patrons will get their chance to see the radio drama in person as Raconteur Radio presents: “The War of the Worlds: a Staged Radio Play.”  Read more...
