John A. Baruch, of Morris Township, died Sunday, Dec. 25th after a short illness at the age of 85. John was born in Herford, Germany and after immigrating to the US he served in the US Army during WWII from 1944-46 in the Philippines and Japan. He graduated from Harvard in 1950. He worked in the pharmaceutical industry including Warner-Lambert, Ortho Pharmaceuticals, Winthrop Labs and Reed & Carnrick Pharmaceuticals where he retired as president in 1990. In his retirement, he attended Drew University where he earned his Masters and then his Doctor of Literature. John was a past President of the Morristown-Morris Township Library Foundation. He was also a past President of the Harvard Club of NJ and an alumni interviewer for 30 years. John loved to travel, play tennis and spend time with his family.
John is survived by his wife Doris Baruch of Morristown, daughter Marianne Neeb and her husband Don of Flanders, son Peter Baruch and his wife Traci of Richmond, VA and his 5 grandchildren Alex & Becky Neeb; Jack, Will & Ben Baruch.
