Are you an artist, writer, actor, photographer, or any combination in between entering grades 9-12 in September? Do you like to make stuff and want to approach your pieces more creatively? Sign up for SPARK: Creativity Camp at the Children’s Desk beginning June 10th to reserve your space in this five week program. Each session will begin with a quick warm-up, followed by that week’s main focus, and will conclude with a workshop where you can receive positive feedback from your peers on the creative masterpieces you are working on over the summer.
Week One: You are here.
Get started by visualizing your creative process and putting yourself on the map.
Week Two: Contemplative Photography
A brief introduction to the art of Miksang followed by a photoshoot. Please bring your digital or phone cameras to participate.
Week Three: Yes, and…
Improv fans will enjoy these Whose Line Is It Anyway style games.
Week Four: Abstract Space
An odd writing adventure that can only be experienced. We will be in the Technology Lab for this session.
Week Five: Ruin Your Art
We will work on some basic watercolor techniques and will promptly destroy our creations to make something even more awesome.
