Sometimes you're looking for a book that's a little bit different, a little bit strange, a little bit quirky. And sometimes you're looking for a book that's more than a little bit of those things. Check out the The Diviners for a paranormal, historical, fantasy, and romance.
The Diviners is set during the Roaring 20's in New York City. Evie O'Neill has been exiled from her hometown and she's thrilled about it. She couldn't be happier to move from the boring town she grew up in to the speak easies and shopping of NYC.
Evie does have to deal with living with living with her creepy Uncle Will, who curates The Museum of American Folklore, Superstition, and the Occult. When a rash of paranormal-ish murders start, Evie and her uncle get involved in the investigation.
People are calling this one of the best YA books of 2012, so you might want to check it out before someone swoops in before you! It's a long one, just about 600 pages, but worth the time!
