Coming Soon(in 2012!)

Here's a list of the "must read" books coming out in 2012. They might be continuations of series, the sequel to much loved recent novels or a new book by a great author. Have a look and plan your to-read list!

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
January 10, 2012

It's no secret that John Green is a favorite of mine and I already pre-ordered my copy of this one.  Mostly because John Green has promised to personally autograph the first editions! This is Green's first novel written from a female perspective, so it should be a departure from his usual.

Insurgent by Veronica Roth
May 28, 2012

EEP!!  The sequel to Divergent!  I can't wait to find out how Tris is doing in a dystopic Chicago.  After leaving her own community, Abnegation, to join the daredevils in the Dauntless community, things went a little haywire.  Veronica Roth left an awesome cliffhanger for us and I can't wait to see what happens next.  Make sure you read Divergent sometime between now and May! You don't want to miss out on this awesome story.

Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore
May 1, 2012

A follow up and companion to both Graceling and Fire, this story takes place 8 years after Graceling.  Should be interesting to see how all the Graceling characters have fared in that time.  Particuarly Katsa and Po!

Fear by Michael Grant
April 3, 2012

The fifth book in the Gone series by Michael Grant will catch us up with the kids that are left in Perdido Beach.  What's going to happen in the FAYZ this time?  Who knows! But I can't wait to find out.

Dead to You by Lisa McMann
February 7, 2012

From the author that brought us the Wake series, this new title is about a boy named Ethan who was abducted from his front yard when he was 7 years-old. Nearly 10 years later he's returned to his family, but things are far from perfect.

Pure by Julianna Baggott
February 8, 2012

Pure takes place in a time "after the detonations."  Most of the world has been turned to rubble and Pressia doesn't really remember anything from the before. She gets involved with the son of an important figure and her world soon spins out of control. Pure is being touted as the next Hunger Games.  I guess we'll find out if it lives up to the hype when it comes out in February.
