Haiku Review
Holy Titanic
feelings. You will feel like you
set sail on the ship.
There's something about books written in verse that tend to really make me feel like I'm "in the moment." Maybe it's because there written in more a stream of conscioursness style, but they pull me right in. And that's exactly what The Watch that Ends the Night did.
There are so many different different voices from the Titanic in this novel. You get to hear perspectives from first class to second class, to third class, to the crew and the ship's rats. Even the iceberg has some few choice words!
If you have any interest in the Titanic and the tragedy that surrounds it, you really don't want to miss out on this book. With the 100th anniversary of the sinking this April, the Titanic's legacy will definitely be a hot topic.
