Review: Graceling by Kristin Cashore

Graceling by Kristin Cashore is about a girl named Katsa, not to be confused with Katniss. The good news is she kicks almost as much butt as the girl she almost shares a name with.

In the world of Graceling, there are people who have a "grace." You can tell immediately who is graced and who isn't by looking at their eyes, they're two different colors. Everyone's grace is different.

Katsa's grace is killing and her cruel uncle makes sure that she uses it to the fullest. She is feared by many people throughout the kingdoms that her uncle rules over.

The story really gets moving when Katsa meets Po, another Graceling from a different village. Together they go on a journey to learn who kidnapped Po's grandfather.

Graceling has a companion book, entitled Fire and the sequel, Bitterblue, will be published on May 1.
