Haiku Review:
Blink once for yes,
twice for no, Olivia
tells West. And it works.
Blink Once by Cylin Busby is one of the most unique books I've ever read.
It's an interestig hybrid of medical and paranormal.
Told in first person, from the perspective of West, a 17 year old boy who was in a bad dirt bike accident. He's paralyzed and can't speak, but Olivia, another patient in the hospital visits him almost everyday. They bridge a friendship, even though West can't speak. Olivia takes the time to talk to West, when everyone else on earth seems to ignore him for the most part.
I don't want to give anything away, but if any of this sounds good to you, definitely check it out!
