Tangled was not my very favorite book on earth. It was good, and readable, and I enjoyed it, but there's one very big reason that I decided to review it right now...
PART OF THE STORY TAKES PLACE AT A CARIBBEAN RESORT.
We could all use a little warmth in our lives during this cold January days and Tangled is a great place to find that warmth. I can almost imagine the sunny breeze on my face, the waves lapping the beach.
But this is about the book and my dreams of a vacation!
Tangled is about four kids, Jena, Skye, Dakota, and Owen meet at a Caribben resort called Paradise. This story follows their lives from that point and through the four months following their vacations.
What I particularly enjoyed about this story was the unique way it was told. Each of the characters has a quarter of the book to tell their story. It's fair and well divided, and really well balanced. I never felt like I was learning more about one character than another.
So if you're looking for a good, easy read that at least partially takes place SOMEWHERE BESIDES NEW JERSEY IN JANUARY I would recommend Tangled.
