There are tigers
in this book. Where you would least
expect them to be.
Panic is an intense game played by the recently graduated seniors in the tiny town of Carp, New York. If you play Panic, you are playing to win at least 50,000 dollars worth of cash. The money is amassed all school year long by forcing all high school students to pay a dollar a day.
Heather never meant to join Panic. That wasn't her plan. But the next thing she knows, she's standing at the top of the cliff, ready to jump in with everyone else who wants to get involved. From there, things escalate quickly.
This book is intense and serious. It deals with a lot of issues, lying, abuse, poverty. It's not a quick, light summer read. But it IS good and it WILL make you think.
