Teen Volunteers

Volunteer opportunities are available for teens between the ages of 12 & 18 (or in grades 6^th through 12^th). To become a teen volunteer fill out an application available at the Children’s Desk. You will be contacted by the Teen Librarian and invited in to discuss available opportunities. Volunteer tasks may include, but are not limited to:

 

·         Helping with craft preparation in the Children’s Room

·         Attending Youth Advisory Council meetings to plan programming for teens

·         Assisting adults with technological questions

·         Joining the Adopt-A-Shelf program

 

We’ll do our best to match your interests with our tasks and to accommodate your scheduling needs. You’ll gain important job experience, community services hours and  a reference for job applications -essentially you’ll get back what you put in!
