The Library is pleased to announce our 2nd Annual “Pride Month Film Series” for 2018. Airing Thursday nights this June at 7pm, and centered on the theme “Living with PRIDE,” these four films from the U.S. and overseas celebrate the spectrum and diversity of the LGBTQ+ experience.

Our final movie in the series, on Thursday, June 28, will be BPM (Beats Per Minute), a “sprawling, thrilling, finally heart-bursting group portrait of Parisian AIDS activists in the early 1990s.” (Variety) Winner of 38 awards, including the prestigious Palme d’Or at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival, this film has been described as a “film about love. A film about life. Life stronger than death. A film as a glimpse of hope.” (France, 2017, 2:23, Not Rated)

Building Construction and Parking

Building Construction and Parking
Current building construction has caused a temporary loss of approximately ten parking spaces in our public lot. Essential repairs to the building facade are necessary to ensure public safety. We apologize for this major inconvenience. Please read further for important parking information.

Please take note of the following:

When our parking spaces are full, please do not park in the spaces marked for “83 South Street.”

As another option, please consider parking in the metered spaces in Morristown, the Vail Mansion parking across South Street or at the parking garages around Town.

There is ample metered parking on all the streets surrounding the library. The meters on South Street, Miller Rd. and parts of Maple Ave. have a 90 minute maximum time with the following rate:

90 minute meters: .25 for 15 minutes ($1.00 per hour)

There are some meters on Maple Ave. that are 2 hr. meters with the following rate:

2 hr. meters: .25 for 20 minutes (.75 per hour)

The meters are in effect from 8 AM – 8 PM Monday- Saturday. The 90 minute meters accept credit cards. There is one handicapped space available on South Street in front of the library.

The Morristown Parking Authority operates several garages and parking lots within easy walking distance of the library. The map below shows their locations.
