We love to color! Thousands of adults are picking up their pencils, pens and markers every day in pursuit of relaxation, stress relief and creative fulfillment. Join us on the first Monday of the month at 7pm for a group coloring session with coloring sheets and colored pencils provided by the library. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their own projects and coloring tools. Refreshments will be served and friendly chatting will happen!. We have a monthly door prize drawing of a coloring book! We are now partnering with Color A Smile to collect drawings for their charity at our meetings. Hope to see you at the next meeting of our Coloring Book Club. Relaxation & fun guaranteed!

In clelbration of Financial Literacy Month, spend an evening focused on all things credit! Learn to interpret a credit report and improve your credit score. Bring your qustions! Pronounced “che-gong”, Qigong is a traditional Chinese mindful exercise system for cultivating and strengthening the body’s vital energy. Also known as “Chinese Yoga,” Qigong consists of a series of slow-flowing movements, which gently stretch muscles, tendons and ligaments. Similar to Tai Chi, these low-impact exercises heighten awareness of the mind-body-breath connection. Meditation and visualization are also a part of Qigong practice. Using the mind, the practitioner gathers, guides and circulates internal energy with graceful and precise movements. Qigong can be practiced by all age groups and can easily be adapted for the physically challenged. Everyone is welcome to join us for weekly classes by local resident Bianca Godoy. The library is pleased to announce the third movie in our 3rd Annual “Foreign Cinema Series,” featuring eight entertaining and thought-provoking foreign films from Europe, Latin America, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Tonight's feature: Longing, from Israeli director Savi Gabizon. In this film, Ariel, a well-off, middle-aged bachelor in Tel Aviv, gets a phone call from his college girlfriend. She needs to tell him a couple of very surprising things: first, when they broke up twenty years ago, she was pregnant and went on to have a lovely boy. Join us for chess on the third Thursday of every month. The group will meet from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. upstairs in the F.M. Kirby Gallery. We will enjoy friendly, non-competitive, short games of chess between players of all skill levels. Basic knowledge of the game's rules is required. Improve your game, make new friends and enjoy playing chess! Players of all ages are welcome to play as long as they know the rules. Please bring your own chess board, pieces, and time clock. Games will be between 20-30 minutes as agreed upon between players.

3D Modeling with TinkerCad
Learn basic techniques for creating and modifying three-dimensional models which can be used and shared on web platforms, as well as fabricated on a 3D printer. Using the free web-based software Tinkercad, this workshop will cover an overview of the interface, basic design principles, grouping and holing, importing and exporting models and more. Participants should be very comfortable using a computer mouse, and preferably already have an established Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, of Facebook account (though not required).

Also known as “Chinese Yoga,” Qigong consists of a series of slow-flowing movements, which gently stretch muscles, tendons and ligaments. Similar to Tai Chi, these low-impact exercises heighten awareness of the mind-body-breath connection. Meditation and visualization are also a part of Qigong practice. Using the mind, the practitioner gathers, guides and circulates internal energy with graceful and precise movements. Qigong can be practiced by all age groups and can easily be adapted for the physically challenged. Everyone is welcome to join us for weekly classes by local resident Bianca Godoy.
