The library is pleased to participate in LatinX ConeXiones, an exploration of the arts and culture of Latinx artists and communities in Morris County presented by the Arts & Culture Collaborative. Events will include dance, fine arts & crafts, food, history, installations, literature, music, poetry, theater and other creative disciplines. As part of this collaboration and our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the library will feature three films from Latin America. This month’s feature: Rubén Blades Is Not My Name from Panama, a portrait of one of Latin America's most important singer/songwriters. For more than half a decade, his songs have seeped into the collective consciousness, and soul, of Latin America. This film explores Rubén's story, his legacy, and how he deals with being the man and legend he is.  Read more...

Join us for chess on the third Thursday of every month. The group will meet from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. upstairs in the F.M. Kirby Gallery. We will enjoy friendly, non-competitive, short games of chess between players of all skill levels. Basic knowledge of the game's rules is required. Improve your game, make new friends and enjoy playing chess! Players of all ages are welcome to play as long as they know the rules. Please bring your own chess board, pieces, and time clock. Games will be between 20-30 minutes as agreed upon between players.
