Fall Qigong Classes
Pronounced “chee-gong”, Qigong is a traditional Chinese mindful exercise system for cultivating and strengthening the body’s vital energy. Also known as “Chinese Yoga,” Qigong consists of a series of slow-flowing movements, which gently stretch muscles, tendons and ligaments. Similar to Tai Chi, these low-impact exercises heighten awareness of the mind-body-breath connection. Meditation and visualization are also a part of Qigong practice. Using the mind, the practitioner gathers, guides and circulates internal energy with graceful and precise movements. Qigong can be practiced by all age groups and can easily be adapted for the physically challenged. Join us for weekly classes by local resident Bianca Godoy. For all abilities. Everyone is welcome, no previous experience or registration required.  Read more...

Tonight's feature: Longing, from Israeli director Savi Gabizon. In this film, Ariel, a well-off, middle-aged bachelor in Tel Aviv, gets a phone call from his college girlfriend. She needs to tell him a couple of very surprising things: first, when they broke up twenty years ago, she was pregnant and went on to have a lovely boy. The second thing will make Ariel explore the hidden aspects of parenthood and change his life forever.

All movies are subtitled in English. Light refreshments will be served.
