The Music of Frank Sinatra: A Special "After Hours" Event Friday, Nov. 13 at 7 PM

The Music of Frank Sinatra: A Special
This fall the library is celebrating "A Century of Sinatra: Honoring the Chairman of the Board on his 100th Birthday" with music and film. Tonight we celebrate “The Voice” by listening to songs from the standards that Frank Sinatra performed throughout his career. Tickets for this concert are $20 and will be sold at the door. All proceeds benefit the library.

Join vocalist Tony DeMeo, pianist Bob McHugh, bassist Ron Naspo and drummer David Humm as they perform some of the songs that Frank Sinatra made famous.

Many thought Frank Sinatra did it ‘his way’, others thought he ‘had the world on a string’, but most people will concede that his music has lasted ‘from here to eternity’.  From the twilight of the big band era through his death in 1998, Frank Sinatra was one of the most popular and influential singers and performers of the 20th century.  An enormous sensation in the 1940s with the bobby-sox crowd, Sinatra also re-made his career in the 1950s, becoming the crooner of all crooners and also honing his acting chops with movies such as The Man With the Golden Arm, From Here to Eternity and The Manchurian Candidate

Join the library as we celebrate the music and movies of New Jersey’s own with a live musical performance of Sinatra songs as well as the screening of two of his movies.

This program is supported by the Friends of the Morristown & Morris Township Library.
