Review: The Truth About Alice by Jen Mathieu

As some of you may be aware, I'm super into stories told from multiple points of view. And The Truth About Alice has FOUR different points of view, not including the one towards the end when Alice herself gets a say in the matter.

The Truth About Alice is a story we're all familiar with.

There's a BIG rumor going around Alice Franklin's small Texas time. Supposedly she did something bad and then she did something even worse. No one believes her when she denies these accusations and eventually it gets to a point where everyone stops listening.

Told in turns from Josh, Elaine, Kelsie, and Kurt, you get to hear the whole story about what Alice might have, sort of, probably did. It's hard to decide who to believe, but it's easy to see that everyone is biased.

Highly recommended for older high school students. It's an eye opening read about how rumors get started and catch on until no one really knows the truth.
